Most of Tuuci’s parasol frames are made of marine-grade aluminum and stainless-steel components. Our premium teak parasols blend the authentic beauty of natural teak hardwood with an aluminum spine adding strength. Each collection and style has its own distinctive frame. Yes, our wood frames are made from 100% plantation-grown hardwood, which is renewable and sustainable. The teak used in our Ocean Master MAX Nautical Teak collection is certified as FLEGT/V-legal, ensuring sustainable forestry practices. Tuuci sources teak from the largest sustainably forested plantation in Indonesia, where more trees are planted than felled and the wood is processed to strict environmental standards.

Tuuci’s canopies for parasols and shade structures use high-performance outdoor marine-grade textiles for superior quality and durability. Each canopy is meticulously crafted with marine engineering techniques, features reinforced seams, is highly resistant, and comes with a 5- or 10-year limited warranty.

Tuuci offers shade anchors and mounting options using durable materials like stainless steel. Options include above-ground and in-ground mounts, suitable for various parasol and cabana sizes and uses, such as around pool decks, inside pools, or in the sand. Tuuci offers a wide variety of options such as frame finishes, lift system upgrades, and canopy enhancements such as powder coated or Aluma-TEAK frame finishes, double-sided canopies, Softscape, alternating panels, contrasting pockets, accent borders, various valance styles, contrasting binding and fringes. On several parasol and cabana models we also offer electrical upgrades like heating, lighting and automation.

Although our parasols are designed to endure all seasons, we recommend storing them indoors during extreme weather events such as hurricanes or harsh winter conditions. To prevent damage and keep out burrowing animals, always store parasols in an upright position and use a Tuuci protective cover when available.

Natural teak can be left out year-round and naturally ages to a silvery grey over time. It may expand, contract, or develop small cracks with humidity changes, but these don’t affect its durability. For maintenance, clean with a mild soap solution and a non-abrasive sponge, then rinse and air dry. Frequent hosing helps keep teak clean and weather evenly.

Close your parasol when sustained winds reach 25mph/40kmh to avoid damage. While Tuuci products are built to withstand extreme weather, it’s best to take precautions. Learn more here.

Tuuci pergolas and cabanas are designed to be as maintenance free as possible. Clean the pergola or cabana regularly before dirt accumulates and keep the gutters clean of debris so rain can flow away quickly.

All Tuuci marine-grade outdoor shade equipment is rigorously tested to withstand incredible forces of nature such as heavy snow, rain and wind loads. Tuuci does not recommend the use of cabanas in wind conditions which exceed 100mph/160kmh.

Yes, the Automated Louvered Roof System on the Ocean Master M1 Plus- and MAX Solanox Pergola automatically adjusts to control wind, sun and rain, providing optimal shelter and creating a luxurious, open-air room. The louvers can also be operated via an optional outdoor remote control and optional wireless rain and wind sensors.

Our pergolas and cabanas are freestanding so you will not need to interfere with the facade or need a ground anchor. Please contact your dealer or Tuuci representative for help in selecting the best shade anchor(s) for your project.
